The T-72 is a tank developed as a successor to the T-55 and T-62, and production began in 1973. The T-72B3 is an improved model that began deployment in 2012, with a new fire control system, a new engine and auxiliary power unit, and a same main gun as the T-90A. The T-72B3M is a vehicle equipped with a commander's sight.
